Sending International Parcel from Philippines via Philpost

Hi everyone, it's been a while since I post here on my blog. I have mentioned that we have collaborated with my IG Skincare friends for an International Giveaway. So I'll be talking about my experience when sending out our package.

Just to give you idea on what's inside my package
  • its a 3.5 kg box with dimension of 8x6x10 inches
  • Receiver's country: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
We came up to the decision to ship via Philpost because it's more convenient and less hassle on our part. Some might ask why not try courier like FEDEX, LBC OR DHL?
I tried to inquire with DHL(LBC partner for international parcels) and 2GO but I got the following feedback from them:
  • Documentation Requirements for all packages with Beauty Products: FDA Certificate, Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), Certificate of Non Dangerous Goods
  • Whitening products are prohibited
  • Quote Courier Fee: Php 8,900~
We opted for a better option which is Philpost. I was able to ship out our package hassle free, just dont forget to bring your own packaging for big items and materials such as Bubble wrap, packing tape and cutter/scissors. If you're shipping small items, don't worry because they will provide Philpost pouch as well.

My package costs via Philpost was only Php 2,979 and will be shipped via sea cargo. That was much cheaper than the other courier I have asked. Estimate arrival to Abu Dhabi was 3-4 weeks. I'll update this post if when will the receiver get her package.

We have shipped out the package August 28, and the received confirmed she got the package September 13. That was fast! it was only 12 business days. I'm glad we used EMS for this transactions

  1. hi, did you pack your items in Philpost office? Or was it already packed before going there?
