Blogapalooza connects businesses and bloggers together. It's a once a year event where bloggers and brands get a chance to know each other and help each other for a social media exposure!

Are you a blogger and interested to join? Sign up here!

Now I'm writing this post to share some tips if you're planning to attend the Blogapalooza.
  • Check the brands participating and plan your route. (I visit their facebook pages if available prior to the day of the event so I'll have a background about them, there might be unfamiliar brands you may encounter)
  • Ready your gadgets: This includes power bank, extra batteries, extra memory, portable WiFi connection, camera (have a carrier strap!), smart phones, some also carry their laptops with them during the event. Some booths require the following during the registration Facebook page liking, post sharing!
  • Bring your calling card and pen - or just forget the pen but not your blog business card! Just think if 100 brands that will participate, they will ask for your details, so instead of writing your deets in their paper, you can just offer your business card :)
  • Bring an eco-bags. I went home with 2 eco bags, good thing I have my guy with me to help me carry bags filled with Media Kits, freebies and prizes from different games we've tried. Some booths give away mugs and tumblers which are too heavy and bulky for an ordinary bag. Some brands also give CDs inside the PR Kit, I separate and labeled these, it's one of the most important items to take home after the event - well at least for me.
  • Dress appropriate - I'm not saying you have to wear a gala dress, you can wear a smart casual outfit where you can feel at ease but at the same time nice enough for photo ops or candid shots by press. Girls, you can skip high heels, you'll be roaming around for 8
  • Bottled water to keep you hydrated
  • Ready yourself. You will be facing the owner or the representative of the brand. It's a social gathering, it might be a good start to build a relationship to different PRs or Marketers. Ask questions about their brand, what it does, and how it can help you or your readers. The host brand will be delightful to share more details and spend time to you. Enjoy and engage your relationship with the brands and co-bloggers!
I hope to bump some of you this coming Blogapalooza! :)
